A couple of weeks ago I was on my way to Spurn Head but at the last minute I changed my mind so I diverted the car to spend the morning around the Minster Quarter in York.
York Residents’ Festival is our chance to explore the city and be a tourist for the weekend – for free! It is organised by Visit York in partnership with the City of York Council, this annual Festival is their way of saying ‘thank you’ for the warm welcome given to York’s 7 million visitors.
At this time of year there is plenty going on in York to entice a photographer into York City Centre. Not only is there the Illuminating York Festival during half term week but of course the Gunpowder Plot of York's most dastardly son, Guy Fawkes, is celebrated.
