A week in Jersey

I have just returned from a week’s holiday in Jersey . It is the one week of the year when I stay in a hotel and don’t have to lift a finger other than to do exactly what I want knowing that my next meal is being prepared by someone else.

In addition to visiting a few favourite locations I did go to new places as I like to explore the island as much as possible. I took a boat trip along the north coast so that I could see the cliffs although I was disappointed that the RIB didn’t get as far as Plemont beach. I also caught the bus to La Corbiere lighthouse and walked along the cliffs to St Brelades Bay. This was a wonderful walk with unexpected views and amazing flowers (considering I am a non flower person). This is definitely an activity to repeat as long as I have the correct bus fare. I got thrown off the first bus I tried to board as I was 20p short!

I only visited Plemont beach once but I decided to drive up for a sunset shoot. This had the advantage of being able to park at the bottom of the road with only an 80m climb and having the beach more or less to myself.

Here are some of my favourite photographs from the week.
